My spiritual friends (Julie Burke) have set up a Facebook group called “Badger Protection Ritual” which will take place at 19.00 hours on Saturday 13th October 2012.

The cull is due to start on Monday 15th.

Here is a description of the “event”

“I am asking everyone who cares about the Badger, groups and solitary practitioners from all spiritual paths, to perform a protection ritual, meditation or prayer, for them and to assist those who are trying to protect them.

Please perform your ritual, meditation or prayer from wherever you are and let’s combine our energies to try and protect them from the cull. We will be doing this on Saturday evening 13th at 7pm.

This event is open to everyone from all spiritual and religious paths”

You might be asking, what good will this do and how can this be a real event in our usual sense of the word if there is no physical meeting place?

We now know from quantum physics that there is communication between particles from non locality. Once two particles have become entangled, they are in some kind of cross spatial, cross temporal communication. Matter is not as we think it is, exclusively solid. It is made up of energy which is in constant motion.

Reiki recognises that time/distance is not relevant for sending absent healing. You can send positivity to yourself/another in the future/past and present. You can send healing to someone wherever they are. Focussing on them with intent to send protection/healing reaches them on an energetic level.

You could participate in this ritual in any way that you see fit or that is comfortable for you. Pray, meditate, look at a picture of a badger, think of Badger in the “Wind in the Willows” or read it or even just light a candle to send protection to the badgers and enlightenment to those who support and intend to carry ou the cull. Just do something badger orientated at 19.00 hours on Saturday and you will be joining in with a group of people who share the intent to stop this cull.
