Captives at the training facilty. It is not over for them.

It is an emotional day for the Cove Guardians and all who have protested against, prayed and kept abreast of the Taiji drive hunt this season. It has been truly horrific and relentless.

Our hearts go out to all of those dolphins/small whales who suffered so much and were slaughtered and those poor captives, some of whom are in other facilities now entertaining the public for dead fish and some who are still being held in the pens in Taiji to be trained and sold on, their lives shattered, their family and beloved ocean, a thing of the past.

We will continue to campaign against this barbaric drive hunt and to highlight the link between it and the captive industry. It would be wonderful if this is the final drive hunt but I suspect that the fight will resume again in September. But who knows eh? I will post again on Taiji in a couple of days and summarise the main events of the season and the final figures.
