”*****ANNOUNCEMENT*****
Pushing forward from the success of our Global Taiji Action Day on 22nd of February, we are pleased to announce that we will be doing it all over again..!
On Saturday 29th of June 2013 we will be hosting events all over the world in ANY busy public place. It no longer has to be outside a Japanese Embassy, which are often located in less prominent locations.
Any country, city, town, village, beach, marine park, anywhere that has lots of people…! (You will still have to check for local permits etc.) We have to unite to make our voices be heard, loud and clear..!The IOC will convene at the Olympics HQ in Switzerland on 3-4th July to receive presentations from all 3 host city bids & then debate which city should host the 2020 Olympics. Under the Environmental Mandate of the Olympic Charter, which governs the IOC, they are required to ‘encourage and support a responsible concern for environmental issues’ Which means that the IOC & Japanese Olympic Committee are OBLIGATED to address the extremely significant environmental issue of the Whale & Dolphin hunts in Japan, which sees up to 20,000 slaughtered by various methods, throughout Japan, not just in TAIJI. It is OUR job to ensure that they do THEIR job correctly.
