Do you remember that “weekus horribilus” when the hunters took 100 + dolphins captive? The selection process took place over 5 days and some were released as they were unfit for human entertainment? There was an outcry because they had not been fed during that period. Well, it was reported that the captive dolphins have not been fed since the hunters started their holiday. This is a Holy holiday, goodwill to all and those dolphins are left with no food. So we contacted Enson Inoue, the cetacean’s champion and he is appalled and will speak to Taiji Mayor Tangen in January. On a good note, the dolphins were fed early today. If the Fishermens’ Union is going to keep dolphins/small whales captive then they do need to look after them in a humane way which should be regulated.  This is probably a strategy as dolphins will no doubt be easier to train in exchange for a dead fish supper if they are starving.
